Luke: 10. 41. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42. But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

In life, we are suppose to choose the needful over what is important. Our devotion to God and duty to man are both important but our devotion to God is more needful. Sacrifice is good but obedience is needful.

Most of us may go to church today. Please it is needful to go to church; don’t let anything though important take you away from the needful.

Bodily exercise is good but not needful on a Sunday morning  when you have to go to church. Washing your clothing this morning is good but not needful.

Visiting a friend who is bereaved this morning is good but not needful.

Go for what nobody can take away from you.

Church service time is not time for responding   to classmates WhatsApp chat.

Take the sermon time seriously because it is needful. That is not the time to be engaging yourself with important things. The preaching is needful. Any other thing can wait.

Prioritize your prayer time. Prioritize your bible study time. Priorities your time for church. Prioritize your giving. Choose what is needful.

May the Lord empower us to choose what is needful over what may seem important. May we choose devotion to God above duty. May we choose obedience above sacrifice. And may we choose sacrifices above service.

Stay blessed!
